Medical Student & Resident Education
Wichita Surgical Specialists, P.A, helps to make Wichita a sought-after medical community by participating in medical education and offering patients surgical expertise in 12 specialty areas.
Since its inception, Wichita Surgical Specialists has been guided by a commitment that the patient comes first, and that quality care and service are paramount. Of equal importance is a belief in teaching and research, and the development of innovative surgical technology. These principles have continued to guide Wichita Surgical Specialists through more than five decades of growth and expanding services.
Our surgical teams have mentored more than 2,000 medical students and trained more than 200 surgery residents. We are proud to be a part of the residency and fellowship training program at the University of Kansas School of Medicine – Wichita.
This is a payback to improve the quality of medical education, medical work (in Wichita). If you teach, you stay young. I think you become a better physician. A good physician is a permanent learner, forever.
